Drain valves can be installed between the water pipe or at its end for draining. This allows complete drainage of the hose valves, which largely prevents the risk of freezing and bursting of the water hose, for example, during frost.

The ABO valves are automatic, currentless drain valves with pressure monitoring. The FrostControl has an additional temperature monitoring against frost damage, by an automatic connection at 3 ° C (opening of the drain valve) and an automatic shutdown at 7 ° C (closing of the drain valve).
