Gas springs or gas dampers offer the user essential comfort when setting up or lowering Reimo elevating roofs or elevating beds. The weight of a sleeping roof alone would make setting up the roof a feat of strength. Here gas springs provide support, whereby they must be adapted to the respective roof weight and the required length. They also prevent / dampen an unintentional crash when closing the roof.
